In order to keep the experience of a trip on a total of seven Viking Line ships at a high level in terms of enjoyment, the shipping company regularly selects new wines and offers holidaymakers and commuters an exclusive red wine, a white wine and champagne. The new wines for 2023 and 2024 were presented at the end of January. Axel Neiß was there in person for the kick-off press conference, as our winery will be responsible for the white wine for the next two years (2023 - 2024). For this purpose, we have created a specially bottled Riesling, which brings the freshness and minerality of the North Palatinate paired with floral, fruity notes into the glass. The wine has a specially designed colorful label with flowers and is only available on ferries.
In addition to quality, sustainability played a decisive role in the selection process. In our winery, we can clearly and holistically prove this for the company thanks to the strong Fair'n green seal. We work as close to nature and conserve resources as possible. The results are handcrafted, recognizable wines that reflect the unique terroir of the North Palatinate. In addition, the CO2 neutrality of our winery's wine production was certainly also a decisive listing criterion. In Scandinavia in particular, this commitment is highly appreciated.
