NEISS wine in the wine selection for the German missions abroad
NEISS at the Foreign Office
The Foreign Office (AA) and the German Wine Institute (DWI) have jointly compiled a wine recommendation for the German missions abroad - 154 ambassadors, 50 consuls general and 7 consulates. DWI and AA have been working together successfully for several years to select wine recommendations, and DWI also advises on wine issues and offers seminars in advising employees in international agencies worldwide.
The best wines were thus selected from a total of 420 wines and sparkling wines in a blind tasting session, which were then presented at a final tasting in Berlin. In the end, this became This year's wine selection consists of 15 white wines, four red wines, two rosés and two non-alcoholic variants.
We are very pleased that one of the four red wines is our That's NEISS Cuvée Rot, which will hopefully now represent our German wine diversity in one place or another. That's NEISS Rot is an inviting, balanced cuvée based on Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which we age separately from each other in used barriques after maceration for about 12 months and then blend them. The result is an invigorating aroma of fruity berries, subtle cocoa, red pepper and a touch of spicy ratatouille. A wine that makes a wonderful accompaniment to food, but is also simply NEISS on its own.
